Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Rocky slope consists of silicified black shales of the Lečice Beds (upper part of the Davle Formation). The outcrop forms a part of the type section of this stratigraphic unit. Also remarkable geomorphology, mainly abandoned meander of the stream.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - crystalline complex and pre-Variscian Palaeozoic - Bohemicum (Central Bohemian region) - Barrandien
